VR, Richie's Plank Experience & More.

And what our brains use to construct our world...

Interestingly, a plank of wood and current VR technology might be more than enough to mess up our understanding of where we are, and what the world is really like. Certainly, some participants in todays ''Richies Plank Experience'' in Dokk1 did seem to believe that they had taken an elevator to the roof of a tall building, and was now about to walk out on a plank with a long, long way down.

Richie's Plank Experience.

Thursday, April 11th, 2019, was spent
testing out Richie's Plank Experience, at Dokk1, in Aarhus, Denmark.

In a nutshell:

Its a VR game, where you ride an elevator to a very high floor,
where awaiting you is a plank overhanging the city street below with the goal
being to walk to the edge of the plank being careful not to fall...

When you start down at street level it all looks so simple...!
Things start to be become a lot less simple,
as you put on the VR helmet, and take the elevator up to the roof top.
Eventually, after some deep breaths, you are asked to step out on the blank,
and look down into the abyss (5 centimeters below...):
